Завершился уникальный для Беларуси общественный проект по предотвращению заражения ВИЧ и инфекциями, передающимися половым путём. Он был направлен на клиентов и представительниц секс-бизнеса, работающих на автотрассах Минской и Гомельской областей. На дорогах этих регионов группа социальных работников консультировала по проблемам ВИЧ и половых инфекций женщин, оказывающих интимные услуги, и водителей дальнего следования. Однако только 12,6% этих женщин использовали презерватив во время последнего сексуального контакта. Исследование выявило, что среди участниц дорожного секс-бизнеса есть потребительницы инъекционных наркотиков, ВИЧ-инфицированные и носительницы гепатитов В и С. В рамках профилактики ВИЧ и инфекций, передающихся половым путём, были осуществлены специализированные FM-проекты, направленные на изменение рискованного сексуального поведения мужчин-водителей на более безопасное. К этой информационной работе привлекались некоторые столичные вещатели, а также радио «Ранак» из Светлогорска (Гомельская область). Комментируя итоги проекта, его руководительница Елена Родионова отметила: «Нашей команде удалось эффективно реализовать поставленную перед нами задачу – повысить уровень понимания проблемы среди представителей групп риска и убедить их изменить свое поведение на менее опасное».
